As a doctor of internal medicine, Zayan Kanjo, MD, focuses on the practice of adult medicine with a special emphasis on preventing and treating adult diseases. During the nearly 20 years he has practiced on Whidbey Island, Dr. Kanjo has become known for his compassionate, considerate and respectful approach to patient care. He treats conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and lung disease and diagnoses and treats risk factors for coronary heart disease such as hypertension, smoking and high cholesterol. Dr. Kanjo came to the United States shortly after graduating from medical school. He joined our medical staff in 1994.

Scope of Care

  • Complete internal medicine, which includes basic treatment for conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and lung disease
  • Diagnose and treat risk factors for coronary heart disease such as hypertension, smoking and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
  • Provide and read results of EKG tests
  • Routine cancer screening through procedures such as mammograms, Pap tests and colonoscopies
