Xiaowen "Wendy" Wang MD, PhD


Wendy Wang, MD, PhD, sees cancer patients at Whidbey General on Tuesdays and has been providing cancer care here since 2008. A board-certified medical oncologist, Dr. Wang believes in personalized and evidence-based care and participates in clinical trials designed to improve cancer treatment strategies. As a member of our Cancer Committee, a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, patient care and support staff, Dr. Wang helps determine the stage of a patient’s cancer and then establish treatment plans based on National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and participates in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network treatment guidelines to enhance clinical treatment planning.

Scope of Care

  • Compassionate, evidence-based hematology and oncology care for adults
  • Treatment of all forms of cancer, with a particular interest in the management of hematologic malignancies and breast cancers
  • Coordination of care with specialists in surgical oncology and radiation oncology
  • Collaboration with colleagues around the Greater Puget Sound to provide patients with access to clinical trials of innovative new cancer therapies
