Gastroenterologist Friedrich Loura, MD, is a digestive disease specialist who provides diagnostic and consultative services at Whidbey General through a partnership with the Western Washington Medical Group (WWMG). He is medical director of Gastroenterology for the Providence Regional Medical Center and for the WWMG Endoscopy Center. Dr. Loura performs colonoscopy and other procedures at Whidbey General and sees patients in Oak Harbor at Whidbey Community Physicians, a clinic affiliated with the hospital. Dr. Loura’s professional interests include acid reflux, esophageal motility disorders and pancreatic and biliary disorders. Dr. Loura, who completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology in 1988 and joined our medical staff in 2000, is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
